DDS technology introduction
Brief Description
This DDS board is designed with AD9833 from analog device. It can output sine wave, trianble wave and retangular wave. The resolution is 28bit. Max frequency is up to 12.5MHz.

DDS is A full digital frequency synthesizer, by phase accumulators, waveform ROM, D/A converter and low pass filter composition. The clock frequency after A given, the output depends on the frequency of the signal frequency control word, the frequency resolution depends on accumulators digits, phase resolution depends on the ROM address line digits, amplitude quantization noise depends on the ROM data A word length and D/A converter digits.


DDS have the following advantages: (1) the frequency resolution is high, the output frequency much, can reach a frequency (N for phase accumulators digits); (2) the frequency switching speed, can reach us magnitude; (3) when switching frequency phase continuous; (4) can output the broadband orthogonal signal; A headscarf output phase noise is low, the source of reference frequency phase noise improved; [6] can produce any waveform; [full digital reality
